DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce that Colorado Music Institute is now offering String Ensemble classes on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 pm.  Violin\, Viola\, Cello and String Bass students are welcome to participate.  The only requirement is that students be able to play in the keys of D and G major with quarter notes\, eighth notes and half notes.  Other musical skills will be explored in the ensemble class beyond these basic requirements.  These will include listening skills\, new bowing techniques and learning to watch a conductor.  So many of the skills that are learned in ensemble are difficult to teach in private lessons\, therefore being part of an ensemble is a great complement to private lessons.  Dr. William Hinkie will be directing the ensemble.

DESCRIPTION:Just show up and play in your own band – with your gig performing at the end of a busy week of preps!! \nCMI’s Rock Sessions are like band camp on steroids!  The sessions last for one week and offer musicians of all ages a chance to play in a band and perform live on-stage.  Each musician gets placed with a band carefully selected by our professional musician/instructors to match his/her experience and instrument.  Then\, for two hours each day (Noon – 2pm M-F)\, our staff of professionals works with each ensemble in a fully equipped professional music studio.  After perfecting their show(s)\, the bands take to the stage and perform live at a popular local venue – in a real club-setting (Soiled Dove Underground) in front of a live audience (6 pm Sunday afternoon). \nREGISTER HERE
