LILLI M

Lilli M. is a versatile oboist who has performed across the United States, Europe, and South America. From the stage to your local farmer’s market, Lilli embraces all styles of music. Some of her recent favorites include joining electronic artist Apashe for his show at Red Rocks Amphitheater and playing live scores along with films featured in the Denver Film Festival. She has performed traditional orchestra repertoire with the Longmont Symphony, Denver Chamber Orchestra, and been the English horn soloist on Copland’s Quiet City with Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to private oboe lessons, Lilli has taught through the Detroit Symphony’s Civic Youth Ensembles, University of Michigan Youth Ensembles, and Shenandoah Double Reed Camp. She focuses on making the oboe and its reeds more accessible and fun for students and families. Whether you want to study music in college or are a more casual player, Lilli will guide you through whatever path best fits your needs. She is passionate about utilizing innovative teaching methods and creating an inclusive environment.

Lilli has been awarded University of Michigan’s EXCEL Enterprise Grant and was the sole undergraduate recipient of the 2022 Lorraine Pederson Memorial Scholarship for Orchestral Performance. She holds a Bachelor in Music from Shenandoah Conservatory and received her Master of Music from the University of Michigan. Additionally, Lilli has over ten years of classical piano training and has taught beginner piano and music theory at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
