Centennial, CO: On Wednesday, December 7th, 2022, Colorado Music Institute will receive the “National Music School of the Year 2022” award. In attendance will be Centennial’s mayor, Stephanie Piko; Mayor Pro Tem, Don Sheehan; along with Council Member Christine Sweetland and other support staff from the City of Centennial. The award comes from the Music Academy Success System®, a national trade association for music academies from all over North America. With hundreds of schools competing for the nomination, this award is a recognition of the school’s significant contributions to the industry. In addition to the award ceremony, CMI will be celebrating their new state-of-the-art location with a ribbon cutting ceremony with the South Metro Denver Chamber. December 7th is Pearl Harbor Day, and we will take a moment to honor the memory of those that served with a brass quintet playing patriotic songs. Members of the media are invited for the ceremony, live music, a tour, and lunch catered by Lunch Wired.
ABOUT Colorado Music Institute: Colorado Music Institute (CMI) provides music and joy to the community by providing lessons for all musical instruments. CMI has a professional recording studio, and soon will offer art lessons in their new location in Centennial. CMI has been serving the greater Denver Metro area and surrounding communities for 26 years; offering private lessons, group lessons, recitals, camps, instrument rentals and much more. CMI teaches music lessons to students of all ages and experience levels. Their students currently range in age from 18 months to 89 years old. Music truly is for every age! CMI accepts new students any time of the year and offers lessons on a month-to-month basis. They boast having teachers that have been with CMI for over 20 years and students that have been with the same teacher for 14 years! To be able to provide that level of continuity for both teachers and students is rare.
