Lessons for Beginners to Advanced

Originally founded in 1996 as the Colorado Drum Institute, we are the premier music school for drum lessons! Each of our 4 drum studios has two full, unmuted drum sets to give you the true, realistic experience.

Our highly experienced drum instructors teach rock, metal, jazz, funk, blues, country and many other styles. Drum language can be complex and our instructors will challenge any drummer with a wide variety of technical exercises designed to improve your speed and comfort. All drummers may bring in their favorite drum parts to learn in their lessons and theory is encouraged.

You do not have to purchase a drum kit to take lessons, as beginning students can learn with a drum pad and sticks for about $40. Students use our drum sets at their lessons and do not have to bring anything but their sticks and a notebook.

Consider taking Percussion Lessons, which is a wonderful addition to any school band program, rock band or worship band. Many of our students have gone on to successful careers in music, graduating from prestigious music colleges to performing professionally with major artists.

At Colorado Music Institute, we teach the music you want to learn!  We teach all styles, from classical to jazz to rock to worship.  It is our goal to help you develop a lifelong love for music and become the musician you want to be.  Our knowledgeable and experienced instructors will not only show you how to play and perform, but also the theory and fundamentals behind it.  Each of our teachers have warm personalities and enjoy sharing their love of music with you.  We welcome all ages from beginners to advanced students.  Adult students are WELCOME!
