Project Description

CARLEE E

Carlee is primarily a voice teacher, but also teaches beginner piano and Music Fun Time. Before working at CMI, Carlee finished her Bachelors of Music in Voice Performance and worked with a leadership development group called The Xtra Mile Group. Her favorite part about teaching is finding breakthroughs for each unique student and seeing how confidence through performing quickly turns into a stronger confidence in the self.

Carlee has been enamored of music from a young age. She played clarinet in a band from fourth grade throughout high school and was encouraged to start voice lessons after learning how to play guitar when she was fifteen. Taking private voice lessons gave her a way to express herself safely and grow in her confidence on and off the stage. She has experience performing in competitions, several ensembles, and playing music in worship settings and stage bands before moving to Brimingham for college. She excelled in theory and took composition classes for fun during her undergrad. She specializes in opera and art song, but has taught musical theater, worship, and contemporary music. Carlee has been teaching private voice and piano to all ages for five years. Her passion for yoga and psychology fuel her holistic teaching of music to harvest an environment for self expression and fun.
