JAMES N

James N is an accomplished career musician.  He has been working professionally in Denver and throughout the region for more than 30 years and has performed at most of the premier venues in town including Red Rocks and the Pepsi Center.  James has shared the stage and opened for powerhouse acts ZZ Top, Def Leppard, The Who, B.B. King, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Doobie Brothers, James Brown and many more.  He has played with many groups including the Hornbuckle Brothers and famed DJs Lewis & Floorwax in their band the Groovehawgs for 10 years, and is currently with local greats That Eighties Band and Union Gray.

James started playing drums and guitar at age 9 and was performing for audiences by age 12.  He quickly learned the craft and began performing professionally at age 15 and has been doing so ever since.  James studied music both privately and in school, then studied music at Metro State College of Denver.  He has been teaching music at CMI for over 15 years and is also a recording engineer, producer and videographer.  He heads the recording studio department and now offers students the opportunity to make professional recordings and videos of their talent.
