Project Description
JEFF R
Growing up in a very musical family, I began playing piano at age 9 (actually, I was playing melodies like Happy Birthday, at around 4 years old,). I then pursued music & took lessons into my 20’s.
After high school, I went to Berklee College of Music, in 1987. There were many great experiences of being involved in a performing arts church, and co-leading the gospel choir at Berklee’s High School Summer Program.
Over the years, I’ve collaborated with choreographers, played keys in many bands, a few theater companies, and was an accompanist for modern dance & ballet classes at various Universities.
My forte is teaching beginning- & intermediate-level piano ~ Classical, Pop, Rock, Old-school R&B, Vintage Keyboards, Musical Theater rehearsal techniques, and Accompanying for Dance.
Even though I’ve been a musician for almost 40 years, I’m also learning & exploring new styles including orchestration, and arranging. Always remember to never stop exploring!
Thank you for reading this ~ I hope we can meet soon!
