John is a passionate and experienced music educator who believes that learning music should be both rewarding and fun. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from CSU Long Beach and a Master’s degree in Commercial Music and Composition from CSU Los Angeles. With years of experience teaching piano, voice, and music production to students of all ages and skill levels, John combines strong fundamentals with creativity and hands-on learning. As a performer, keyboardist, vocalist, and commercial composer, he has worked across a variety of musical styles and composed music for independent and short films. John loves seeing students gain confidence as they master challenging passages and discover their own connection to music. Patient and encouraging, he tailors lessons to each student while helping them build skills, creativity, and a genuine love of music. Outside of music, John enjoys reading, tennis, birdwatching, and exploring the outdoors.
