KATIE G
Katie primarily teaches Piano, as well as Music Fun Time and Voice. Before working at CMI, Katie worked as a behavioral therapist with neurodivergent individuals. She is great with beginners, and can offer challenges to those more experienced. Katie started taking private piano lessons at age 8 in Greeley, Colorado. She comes from a classical and structured musical education, but has spent her adulthood exploring the less calculated world of music, aka jam sessions, improv, and the world of EDM production. Besides piano, she has also learned to play the drums and various percussion instruments, cello, guitar, ukulele, harp, and more. She promises to make sure her students have fun and enjoy playing music, as well as have choices to advance in the ways they wish to grow. Katie creates her own music resembling the RnB genre, and loves to play classical piano pieces from the Romantic period. She performs locally as a dancer and musician. Katie comes from 3 generations of piano teachers, has been a dancer since she could walk, and speaks Spanish and German.
