Hi! My name is Maria! I am a certified teacher, who has enjoyed teaching math and music to all age levels for over thirty years. During my tenure in the public school system, it was a thrill to co-direct several school musicals, directing the choirs and the orchestras. I am also a part-time musician (piano, organ, clarinet, voice) at various churches in the area.
Personally, I have raised four children, who traversed through the Cherry Creek School system, and are now all successful adults: my oldest daughter is a Civil Engineer in Sioux Falls, SD, and blessed me with my first grandchild in November of 2021; my second daughter is a Statistician in Kansas City, who also bartends at the Kansas City Chiefs games in the fall; my third daughter is an Aesthetician, residing in Englewood, not far from CMI; and my son is an Architectural Web Design Engineer in Oklahoma City. They are all successful musicians in their own rite.
I love to hike, play tennis, ride my e-bike, dabble in yard work, and do home improvement projects. I enjoy traveling by car, admiring the wonderful countryside as it goes by! While my children were growing up, I made it a goal to show them our beautiful country, so rich in history to the east, and so rich in beauty in Colorado and to the west. They proudly boast that they’ve visited all the 48 contiguous states.
