Project Description
NICK T
Nick T (he/him) is a bassoonist and educator who loves helping students build confidence and find enjoyment in making music. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, he holds degrees in music and business management from Case Western Reserve University, where he also studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music through their Joint Music Program.
Nick has been playing bassoon for over ten years and has performed on wind instruments for even longer. As a teacher, he believes in meeting each student where they are and tailoring lessons to their unique goals, needs, and interests. His lessons focus on steady progress, curiosity, and musical enjoyment, helping students grow as both musicians and creative individuals.
Professionally, Nick currently serves as Manager of Orchestra Personnel for the Colorado Symphony, where he works closely with musicians and artistic staff to help bring performances to life. Before moving to Denver, he taught private bassoon lessons in the Cleveland area and worked with The Cleveland Orchestra’s Youth Orchestra and Education and Outreach programs. He has also spent summers surrounded by music while working at Interlochen Center for the Arts and the Aspen Music Festival & School.
Now based in Colorado, Nick enjoys exploring all that the state has to offer, including classical and pop concerts, hiking, skiing, and Denver’s vibrant arts scene.
