SPENCER A

Spencer is a piano and voice teacher from North Texas. He began his musical education at the age of 4 after begging his parents for piano lessons. Growing up with a classical music background, he began competing in State and local piano competitions from the ages of 12-16. After graduating high school, he attended the University of North Texas with a major in Classical Piano Performance.

Spencer has spent the last 13 years performing professionally in multiple bands both independently and with a record label. He lived in Chicago for 4 ½ years performing as a hired pianist and studio session artist playing in genres such as Blues, R&B, Folk, and Country. He has toured nationally with several artists and has performed overseas and currently performs locally and out-of-state with his current band, The Regular.

Spencer teaches both classical and contemporary music and works with beginner through advanced students providing them with a strong foundation in music theory, technique, and improvisation. With this approach, he aims to foster creativity and the ability to perform in multiple styles.
