            There is something truly captivating about walking into a community that’s alive with warmth, celebration, and sound. With the backdrop of drums, piano, guitar, and violin – just to name a few – it’s hard not to feel welcome! After all, this is a place of learning and growth. It’s a place where people, no matter who they are or what drives them, can come together and find comfort and experience in the realm of music.

That was our impression of Colorado Music Institute. We had recently moved, and our surroundings were new to us; we were searching for a place where we could continue our musical studies. Not only did Colorado Music Institute offer the perfect environment for us to grow, but the growing itself was enriched by the amiable, talented teachers and staff. We found ourselves swept up in the constant driving force that was CMI.

The quality of CMI – to parents, teachers, and students alike – is no exaggeration. As we spent year after year improving and taking part in the vibrant, diverse institute culture, we began to realize the depth of their goals. Through a wide variety of programs, flexible schedules, and the treatment of students and staff as family, Colorado Music Institute aims to maintain a positive atmosphere for everyone involved.

We’ve been learning piano at Colorado Music Institute for 3 years, voice just recently, and every step of the way was a blast! We’ve participated in the multiple musical recitals and concerts that CMI offers, meeting new people and learning new forms of music. Though classically trained in piano, we have also been blessed with the opportunity to participate in CMI’s rock sessions, which occur every year in the Soiled Dove venue. Through participating in the programs that Colorado Music Institute offers, we’ve learned a variety of skills that have aided us in our high school lives. The welcoming atmosphere of Colorado Music Institute created a positive routine for us during our eventful school years.

It’s been a truly amazing past few years here at Colorado Music Institute, and we look forward to many more to come!!
